About Kate Donoghue

Dr Kate Donoghue is the Director of Bristol CBT Clinic. Since qualifying with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, she has worked with children, young people and parents for 25 years. She currently leads a specialist Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Clinic within an NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). Within this Clinic, she has assessed and treated hundreds of young people with psychological problems including a wide range of anxiety disorders, depression, low self esteem and physical health problems.

In addition to her clinical experience, Kate provides group and individual CBT supervision to CAMHS mental health professionals and accredited and trainee CBT therapists. She has taught and provided supervision on the University of Reading CBT Diploma Course. She provides consultation, local CBT training and workshops and has undertaken CBT research projects under the supervision of internationally renowned Child Clinical Psychologists.

  • BSc (Hons) Psychology and Education, University of Hull 1989

Kate is a Chartered Member and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (AFBPsS). She is a fully accredited Member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
